Grinding Wheel And Grinding Paste

Dec 08, 2021

Diamond and cubic boron nitride (CBN) grinding paste is finely prepared from diamond / cubic boron nitride (CBN) powder and other raw materials. It is an ideal grinding paste for grinding and polishing, with good lubrication and cooling performance. Among them, diamond and cubic boron nitride wheel (CBN) have high particle hardness, uniform particle size and good grinding effect.

In the grinding process of grinding wheel, grinding paste plays an important role. It is mainly divided into oil-soluble grinding paste and water-soluble grinding paste. Oil solubility is mainly used for load mechanical grinding, polishing hard alloy, alloy steel, high carbon steel and other high hard material parts. It is suitable for all kinds of workpieces that are easy to rust. Water solubility is mainly used for fine grinding of metallographic and petrographic samples.

In conclusion, the grinding paste is suitable for the processing of measuring tools, cutting tools, optical instruments and other high finish workpieces made of high hardness materials such as glass, ceramics, cemented carbide, hot diamond and gem.

Precautions for use of diamond and cubic boron nitride (CBN) grinding paste:

Select appropriate grinding device and grinding paste according to the material and processing requirements of the workpiece. The commonly used grinders are blocks and plates made of glass, cast iron, steel, aluminum, plexiglass and other materials, diluent, water-soluble grinding paste, water or glycerol; Kerosene for oil soluble grinding paste.

1. Diamond / cubic boron nitride (CBN) grinding is a kind of precision machining. The environment and tools are required to be clean during machining. The tools used are required to be special for each particle size and shall not be mixed.

2. Before changing the grinding paste with different particle sizes during processing, the workpiece must be carefully cleaned to avoid the coarse particles of the previous process mixing into the fine-grained grinding paste to scratch the workpiece.

3. When in use, squeeze a small amount of grinding paste into the container or directly on the grinding device, and dilute it with water, glycerol or kerosene. Generally, the ratio of water to paste is 1:1, which can also be adjusted according to the on-site use. Only a small amount of water needs to be added for the most fine particle, and an appropriate amount of glycerol is added with the increase of particle size.

4. After grinding, the workpiece shall be cleaned with gasoline, kerosene or water.

Precautions for transportation and storage of diamond and cubic boron nitride (CBN) grinding paste:

1. Do not squeeze during transportation and storage.

2. The temperature of the storage room shall be below 20 ° C.

3. Store in a hygienic, cool and dry place.
